    “No need to shout, kid. I’m right here.”

    “Right. Sorry, sir.”

    “Cut the ‘sir’ crap. I’m not military so I can’t outrank you.”

    “Oh… Sorry, sir… I mean, sorry Mr. Constantine.”

    “You said something about orders?”

    “Oh! Right. I was asked by General Ironwood to fetch you.”

    “Great… a rookie. Alright, let’s get this over with.”

    As they walked down the corridors, the soldier occasionally glanced over at Constantine. During their awkwardly silent walk, the soldier spoke up. “If I may, sir…”

    “Get to it.”

    “Why did you volunteer to interrogate Torchwick?”

    Constantine took a deep breath and replied asking, “What’s your name?”

    “Privet Norman, sir.”

    “Full name. No rank.”

    “Sorry. William Norman.”

    “You got siblings, William?”

    “Yeah.”

    “How many?”

    “Six.”

    “You always get along with them?”

    “Not always.”

    “Would you forgive them for breaking something you owned?”

    “Of course.”

    “What if they break the law? If they took things too far and ruined lives… would you be so quick to forgive them?”

    “I would try to understand why they did it. It wouldn’t be easy, but I would try.”

    “That’s where we differ.”

    With that, they arrived at Ironwood’s office. As they entered, a group of soldiers took aim on Constantine. Ironwood stood on the opposite side of the room and said, “Constantine… Thank you for coming so quickly.”

    Constantine sighed. He gestured to the armed soldiers and asked, “What’s this about?”

    “Just to make sure you answer my questions truthfully.” He turned a screen on his desk around and it showed a mugshot of Constantine. It also showed his full name. A name he had not used for a very long time.
